Arisan! 2

Nia Dinata, the director tries to continue the story of the characters in Arisan! Who was quite phenomenal because it offers a different story, and bold.
Arisan! 2 once again presents Tora Sudiro, Cut Mini, Surya Saputra, and Rachel Maryam. The story of their friendship and gay love story with Surya Saputra Tora Sudiro even though this time the story is focused on  Cut Mini (Meimei) who fights against the cancer.
For me, Surya Saputra acted good and bold and somehow looked so natural played Nino character. Tora and Rio Dewanto are not so bad but Surya played better than them. Nina Dinata sometimes showed many beautiful landscapes of Gili Lombok island. My most favorite scene is when Meimei and Tom visit Borodur to see Visak ceremony. The music, pictures, and The Rumi poem "When I Die" was so touching, and it stuck inside my head:

 it looks like the end
it seems like a sunset
but in reality it is a dawn
when the grave locks you up
that is when your soul is freed

The conclusion, Arisan! 2 may not offer many new things for you. But it's okay, Arisan is still a good movie to be enjoyed.
